Miyako is our must-stay hotel in downtown LA. The hotel sits right in Little Tokyo (so a good location) and is in walking distance of SO many great downtown LA things to do. The hotel is always clean and neat. And staff is always so friendly and welcoming! Check in is quick and easy as well. There is a bakery/coffee shop Okayama Kobo down in the lobby - it’s amazing and a must every time we stay! There is also a sushi restaurant on the 2nd floor that is just okay. The rooms are nice and big, and the bathrooms (toilets) all have a bidet. There are also many toiletries available in the bathrooms, from mouthwash to wet wipe towels to shoe covers to bar soap. The walls must be pretty thick because we never hear neighbor noise. Although you will prob hear downtown LA noise (noisy cars and sirens!).

Hotel is very newly renovated, luxurious looking and tucked into a very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Hotel is very popular among the Japanese and Asian tourists which makes it very comfortable for us as fellow Asians visiting the city. Hotel is also very well connected to the bus and metro system with the station being just one traffic light away and the bus stop also one traffic light away in the other direction. Staff was also very friendly and they had already prepared all the paper work prior to our arrival allowing us to check in within less than 5 mins, which helped to make it a very seamless experience especially since we were coming from a long day in Disneyland. Rooms were spacious with enough amenities around for use. The air conditioning was strong and comfortable as well.

It is located right by the Japanese Village plaza about a min walk there. Also right by the Little Tokyo Shopping mall. There is a vending machine there with drinks, with Mac and cheese for kids and cup of noddles! Win for us with kids. Had two microwaves and toiletries you can buy. They have a coffee and pastry shop there that had a full line so I’m sure it was delicious. We got to have parking literally right outside the hotel doors. The room had a great view of the street. It is super clean and comfy. Had a mini fridge, safe and nice bathroom with a bidet. I also loved the safety it has there with valet parking, security inside and you need hotel room key to go up the elevators or use the ground floor bathrooms.

I had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Miyako. The shower had a strong, steady water flow, making it incredibly relaxing. The bed and bedding were super cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. While the room was a bit dated, it was impeccably clean—kudos to the housekeeping team for their excellent work! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Japanese Village, with plenty of great dining options nearby. Public parking is available next to the building, requiring a short walk. It costs $30 per day, but reentry incurs an additional $30 charge each time. For more convenience, the hotel offers unlimited reentry valet parking for $50 per day.

The hotel is so clean and it smells amazing. It’s our first to visit LA so we were a little bit stressed and nervous. Once we got to the hotel and entered to the lobby, we felt so relaxing. The parking cost $45 but you can go in and out which is good. The staffs are friendly. They have a store and a bakery. It is good to have some snacks whenever you need and they also prepare the hot water if you want to have a instant noodles. The coffee in the bakery was very good! I had it every day during my stay. I love this hotel and definitely will go back again!
